“ALASKA” was established in 1978
with the goal of production and sale
of Deep Freezers to the Egyptian
market. Our first factory was located
in Gesr el Suez Industrial Zone, 20Km
away from down town Cairo and was
the first privately owned factory to
work in |
the field of Refrigeration
alongside the state run “Ideal” which
produced Refrigerators with a virtual
Monopoly in that field.
In 1980 we acquired a license from Ariston ( Italy ) to
produce 5 of their Chest Freezer models and at the same
time the company had taken a decision to expand by
building a new plant in Tenth of Ramadan city, then a new
industrial city 50 km away from Cairo, to take advantage
of Tax holidays and government incentives granted to new
projects in newly established cities.
